Cupcake Catastrophe

So we've been to a bunch of wedding and farewells lately--thanks to the every-growing number of past student body officers. Anyway, at these various events, cupcakes have been the lastest and greatest--as you know. I thought to myself, "How hard can it be to make cute little cupcakes? I can do that." Well, after an ENTIRE Saturday of baking, here's what I ended up with. And by the way, it can be hard.
This is the only cupcake that would even come close to appearing at an event!
These were the decent ones. The chocolate ones were the least tasty, but looked the best. The lemon ones looked okay and tasted good.
The carrot cake ones????? Really tasty, but oh so terrible looking. These did not make it to Sunday birthday dinner at Grandma's, but they did get eaten!
