Anna and Thys couldn't wait to get home today to play in the snow. Fortunately, we had some on the lawn. They went out to play, and built the first snowman of the year. Anna did it all by herself except for lifting the middle ball up onto the bottom one. She's good!

Pumpkin Patch
Someday we will make it to a "real" pumpkin patch with all the fixins', but until then, the garden store down the street will have to do. The kids think it's all great--except maybe T. The scary stuff is a little much for him sometimes. His little hands were shaking, and he wasn't about to get on the pirate ship! And Sophie? She thinks it's all great!

The "Piyata" Party
The kids think that "piyatas" are part of birthdays. Thys wanted to do his rocket piyata with the cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's, so we made a rocket cake to match and made a party out of it--the second birthday party.

3 Great Years
Oh, how we love our T. He is such a delightful kid. He is happy almost all the time. He makes us laugh every day. He has a funny sense of humor, and is learning so much. He loves to sing at Becky's, cook, play trains and cars, go to the park, go to the farm and ride the pony, and he loves to do anything Anna does--almost. T has a little more fear than Anna, but if Anna does it, it's good for Thys. He loves Mickey Mouse, Thomas, and the Little Einsteins. In fact, he watched the same Little Einsteins movie all the way to Canada and back! That is dedication.Newborn Thys

Mr. T's Big Day
Mimi sent Thys some cars, and the kids loved running them down the little piece of wall above our banister. We decided to give them a new place to run the cars. It is a lot of fun--especially for Papa!
Mickey Mouse cake, in case you can't tell.
Anna was so helpful with the cake decorating, that I had to give her her own job--she was in charge of Micky Mouse cupcakes made from Oreos.
Thys wanted to go bowling for his birthday. We did, and then went to Noodles and Co. for macnacheese, also know as pacaroni.
The happy bowling fans.
G and G gave Thys the Geo Trax plane. He loves it!
We had to have birthday hats!

Cornbelly's
I have never been to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point before, but my sis and her family were in town and wanted to go, so we went with the cousins. I really didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being really fun for the kids. They had so much to do: slides off hay bales, water pump duck racing, dress-ups with a Ciderella carriage, go-carts, 3D spook ally, cow train, corn bin, pig races, and, or course, a corn maze. We did it all. Three hours later we left exhausted and dirty, but we did have a good time.Thys on the cow train
Ann's cousins burried her in the corn bin--they were absolutely filthy from the corn!

The Zoo. . .Again
I had last Friday off, and it was a beautiful day. I wanted to do something fun with the kids, but I couldn't really come up with anything new and exciting. Then I remembered that the zoo had the new baby elephant, so we went along with thousands of other people who were out of school that day. It actually wasn't too bad once we found a place to park, and the kids were great. I wish I would have taken a picture of the baby elephant--I just did video. We loved all the baby animals: the snow leopard cub, the baby giraffe, and the new baby elephant. The kids did it all--the train, the carousel, a treat, the playground. . .are they spoiled?!?!? We had such a fun time!
