What Happens in a Month

The small chicken villa Mel is constructing in the back yard. . . .Hmmmm, I wonder what it will be when and if we do away with the chickens. . . .
Although I have been a bit grossed out by the awkwardness of the growing chicks, I have to say it is amazing how much they have grown in one month. They are almost presentable again, but that "in between" stage was really ugly and a bit freaky!

Another Addition

So Sophie isn't the lastest addition, but she sure is cute. She is over her RSV and is doing great. Her cheeks are getting softer and softer. We love healthy babies!
The family
Here is the new addition to the family. Anna is holding Annie, and the rest are below. Soon they will be hens out in the yard--I can't wait. (Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice!?!?!) This is Mel and the kids' project--not mine!

Big Events for Sophie

This isn't a great angle, but true to third child standard, we haven't taken many pics. . . oops.
We blessed Sophie on Sunday, and it turned out to be quite an eventful day for the little girl. She was sick, and the doc said it was RSV, but that is probably wouldn't get much worse. We made a not-so-good decision to go ahead because Les was in town to seal the baby they adopted, and we already had everyone notified and everything planned. Well, we started the day in church and ended the day at Primary Children's Hospital with a very sick baby. She had a temp of 101 and needed oxygen badly. She was in the hospital until Wednesday, and thankfully we are home now, and she is getting better. She is a sweet little baby, and it was terrible to see her so sick. I almost hate to post the pics--she doesn't look great. Her coloring was awful! But I do want to show off the beautiful dress my mom's temple friend crocheted.

The bouncy chair is popular with everyone except Sophie. She prefers to be held! I'm very nervous the the occupant in this picture is going to catapult Sophie out of the chair any day now.

Meet Sophie

Since my parents had to leave the hospital, my mom FINALLY gave me a name! This is me, Sophie June, my first day at home.
Mom and Sophie in the hospital.
Thys loves to poke her eyes! And yes, we often let him roam hospitals without pants.
Annie just plain LOVES her!
Mel's official going home job.

And we're out of there! No more hospital food, sleepless nights, being poked and prodded! Yeah!

Draper Temple Open House

Thys on the bus.

We've been excited for this occasion for a few weeks now. We have had FHE about temples, and Anna was all ready to go. She mostly was excited to see the. . .fountain on cows? Thys is really into busses, so we told him yesterday he would probably get to ride a bus, and he was not disappointed. It is a beautiful temple, and we are excited to have it here near us. We truely are blessed to have so many temples so close by!

T or Papa?

It's probably not a really hard guess, but I love how much these two look alike!
