T's Birthday

Birthday with a broken arm isn't always super fun, but we did our best.  Beyblades were a huge hit, and after spending the morning with Pops at Cabela's shooting, we spent the afternoon at Boondocks with the entire family and finished off the night with dinner at Noodles and cake and ice cream!  Of course the party at Grandma and Grandpa's with a pinata came a few weeks later.  Mr. T is such a pleasant kid.  Oh how I love this little guy.  I look forward to our nightly chats while we read and I scratch his back and lay with him until he falls asleep--which takes all of two minutes.  This kid has the sleeping gene!  He is funny--really funny.  For example, the other day he and Anna were painting giant pictures, and he says, "I don't have the paintience."  What five year old comes up with that?  He loves to sleep in our bed, and if Pops leaves at 3:30 for work, I often have a replacement shortly there after.  He likes it because "Papa leaves a warm spot for him."  He is way too good at video games, and loves playing with his friends.  He is getting ready for kindergarten--knows all the letters, their sounds, and is starting to put them together into words.  He is so careful with his pre-school work and really focused when he does it.  He is really nervous and scared about things like the doctor, dentist, birthday parties, etc.  He doesn't want to do any of those things without his mom and dad!!  We love this little boy and are grateful he keeps us laughing and loved!

Beyblade cake.  I learned how to make fondant at YW, so I gave it a shot.  It didn't go really well, but well enough to make our beyblade stadium.
