Anna's Baptism

The day finally came!  Anna waited an extra month to get baptized so all our family from Canada could come.  She was baptized and confirmed by Mel on July 7, 2012. We are proud of Anna for making the decision to get baptized.  It was a beautiful day with family and friends.  We appreciate everyone's love and support!

The Canadians' Visit

Ron, Jet, Jennifer, and Astrid, and Peter, Margreet, and Mark all came to visit for Anna's baptism.  It is so fun to have them here.  We love playing with them.  They always take a lot more pics that I do, so hopefully i can steal some from facebook.

We celebrated the Fourth of July with Jet, Ron and Co. by going to the Sandy Carnival, swimming, grilling, going to the Sandy Parade, and watching the Sandy fireworks.  Lots of fun!
We also went to the zoo.  It was supposed to be a cool day, so it was sooooo crowded.  But, of course, we still had a good time.

Of course we wanted to have our family see the bird show.  The third time for most of us!

Thys is totally into eagles.  There are eagles in the bird show and also in the Rocky Shores exhibit.  They have a giant eagle stuffed animal in the gift show whose wings would wrap all the way around Thys.  He wants it really bad, but it will be a while before he saves $100!

While we were all together, we went up to Snowbird.  We ended up getting passes for everything, so we were able to ride the tram to the top as well as slide and ride everything else.  We usually go to Park City, but I have to say, I liked Snowbird a lot better.  After the tram, the kids rode the slide at least 10 times, as well as the sky rider and the tramps, and everything else.  We had a picnic where is was on 70 degrees instead of 100!  Perfect evening!

We went to the new Museum of Natural History with Peter and Margreet after the Schuwers left.  Interesting and fun, even for the kids!

And, of course, we went swimming at Peter and Margreet's condo.  Margreet takes great pics, and she always has her camera.  Thanks, Molly!

The Beginning of Summer

The beginning of summer was much slower than the middle.  We bought a zoo pass and had Anna's dance recital.  Then things really picked up!  See the next posts.

Anna's 2nd grade class end-of-year awards.  Anna earned A LOT of awards.  She is a great student and tries her very best.  We are very proud of her!
For years we have been going to the zoo.  We finally watched the bird show after all these years, and we love it!  This is Anna giving a donation to the bird at the end--her own money!
The carousel is always a zoo favorite!
Anna is in love with pandas.
We have a new section at the zoo called Rocky Shores.  There are bears, sea lions, otters, etc.  It is a lot of fun.  We especially like the polar bear who is a total show-off!

Anna's ballet show was Cindrella.  Anna was in the opening scene as a villager helping to get read for the ball.  They carried plates of food.  As usually, I loved the show.  I love watching my kids!
